Messages From the Board of Directors

BOARD STATEMENT
RESIGNATION OF GRAEME BANYARD

Graeme resigned from his role of First Team Manager on Tuesday last week and confirmed this at a meeting with our Chairman and Secretary on Thursday evening.  Graeme offered to take charge of the game last Saturday and the board thanked him for this kind gesture.

The Club directors met on Sunday morning and decided that it was not in the best interests of the club to go through the process of requesting applications for the vacant role and the subsequent lengthy process of interviews etc. The Board felt that the most sensible way to proceed, to give some continuity to the teams at this time, was to offer the post of ‘Caretaker Manager’ from within our existing management team. With this in mind, the post of First Team Manager was offered to Andy Martin and he duly accepted.

The Board are unanimous in thanking Graeme for the hard work he has put into the club over the last 18 months. He has managed his role with enthusiasm and integrity and we wish him well with all that he does in the future and he will be most welcome at MFC at any time.

We therefore ask all supporters and players to give the new manager and his team their full support from now on.
